⚙️Installation Guide

This chapter describes how to install and start ATOM on Windows and Ubuntu systems.

If you are using Windows, please refer to the Windows guide for software installation;

If you are using Ubuntu, please refer to the Ubuntu guide for software installation.

Windows

Preparation

  • Contact Transfer technical support to obtain a USB Key and insert it into the USB port of your computer.

  • Download USB Key Driver, after downloading, double-click to install the driver.

Install ATOM

Download ATOM installation package, after downloading, double-click to install.

Start ATOM

Double-click the desktop icon or search for ATOM in the application list to start the software. When the software runs, Windows PowerShell will start. Wait for the Windows PowerShell prompt indicating ATOM has loaded successfully, then click the ATOM icon in the system tray at the bottom right corner. This will automatically open the user interface in the browser.

Uninstall ATOM

  • Method 1: Click the Start or Search menu to find the ATOM application, right-click and select Open file location. In the folder that opens, find the unins000.exe application and double-click to run it.

  • Method 2: Find the unins000.exe application in the installation path and double-click to run it.

    The default installation path is C:\Program Files\Transfertech\ATOM.

Ubuntu

Preparation

  • Ensure the industrial control machine system is Ubuntu 18.04 or above (check the system version in Settings > About).

  • Contact Transfer technical support to obtain a USB Key and insert it into the industrial control machine’s USB port.

  • Download USB Key Driver. After downloading, execute the following command in the system terminal to install the driver:

    sudo dpkg -i codemeter_8.20.6558.501_amd64.deb

Install ATOM

Download ATOM amd installation package, after downloading, double-click to install.

Download ATOM arm installation package, after downloading, double-click to install.

Run ATOM

Search for ATOM in the application list and click the corresponding icon to start ATOM. After the software starts, the user interface will automatically open in the browser.

Uninstall ATOM

Execute the following command to uninstall ATOM.

sudo apt purge atom=1.3.0.1
