⚙️Installation Guide

This chapter describes how to install and start Epic Pro on Windows and Ubuntu systems.

If you are using a Windows system, please follow the Windows guide for software installation;

If you are using an Ubuntu system, please follow the Ubuntu guide for software installation.

Windows

Preparation

  • Contact Transfer technical support to obtain a USB Key and insert it into the computer’s USB port.

  • Download USB Key driver, after download is complete, double-click to install the driver.

Installing Epic Pro

Download EpicPro installation package, after download is complete, double-click to install.

Epic Pro needs to be used with ATOM. After installing Epic Pro, please continue to install ATOM.

Starting Epic Pro

Double-click the desktop icon or search for Epic Pro in the application list to start the software. After the software starts, the user interface will automatically open in the browser.

Uninstalling Epic Pro

  • Method 1: Right-click the Epic Pro desktop icon, select Open file location, find the unins000.exe application in that folder and double-click to run.

    When the software icon is not displayed on the desktop, please click Start or Search on the menu bar to find the application.

  • Method 2: Find the unins000.exe application in the installation path and double-click to run.

Ubuntu

Preparation

  • Confirm that the industrial computer system is Ubuntu 20.04 or above (check system version in Settings > About).

  • Contact Transfer technical support to obtain a USB Key and insert it into the industrial computer’s USB port.

  • Download USB Key driver. After download, execute the following command in the system terminal to install the driver:

    sudo dpkg -i codemeter_8.20.6558.501_amd64.deb

Installing Epic Pro

  • Download EpicPro amd installation package.

  • After download is complete, open the folder where the installation package is located, right-click in the blank area and select "Open in terminal", then execute the following command to install:

    sudo dpkg -i epic-pro_1.3.1_amd64.deb
Epic Pro needs to be used with ATOM. After installing Epic Pro, please continue to install ATOM.

Starting Epic Pro

Search for Epic Pro in the application list and click the corresponding icon to start Epic Pro. After the software starts, the user interface will automatically open in the browser.

Uninstalling Epic Pro

Execute the following command to uninstall Epic Pro.

sudo apt purge epic-pro=1.3.1
