Installation Guide

This chapter describes how to install and launch Epic Pro on Windows and Ubuntu operating systems.

If you are using Windows, please refer to the Windows section for software installation;

If you are using Ubuntu, please refer to the Ubuntu section for software installation.

Windows

Prerequisites

  • Contact Transfer technical support to obtain the USB Key and insert it into your computer’s USB port.

  • Download the USB Key driver, then double-click to install the driver.

Installing Epic Pro

Download EpicPro installation package, after downloading, double-click to install.

Epic Pro requires ATOM to function. After installing Epic Pro, please proceed to install ATOM.

Launching Epic Pro

Double-click the desktop icon or search for Epic Pro in the application list to launch the software. Upon startup, the user interface will automatically open in your default web browser.

Uninstalling Epic Pro

  • Method 1: Right-click the Epic Pro desktop icon, select Open file location, locate the unins000.exe application in the directory, and double-click to run it.

    If the desktop icon is not visible, click the Start menu or use Search to locate the application.
  • Method 2: Navigate to the installation directory and locate the unins000.exe application, then double-click to run it.

Ubuntu

Prerequisites

  • Verify that the industrial computer runs Ubuntu 20.04 or higher (check the system version in Settings > About).

  • Contact Transfer technical support to obtain the USB Key and insert it into the industrial computer’s USB port.

  • Download the USB Key driver. After downloading, execute the following command in the terminal to install the driver:

    sudo dpkg -i codemeter_8.20.6558.501_amd64.deb

Installing Epic Pro

Download EpicPro amd installation package, after downloading, double-click to install.

Epic Pro requires ATOM to function. After installing Epic Pro, please proceed to install ATOM.

Launching Epic Pro

Search for Epic Pro in the application list and click the corresponding icon to launch Epic Pro. Upon startup, the user interface will automatically open in your default web browser.

Uninstalling Epic Pro

Execute the following command to uninstall Epic Pro:

sudo apt purge epic-pro=1.3.0.1
