Camera Network Status Light Is Normal, but Epic Eye Software Cannot Start

Issue Symptoms

The camera network status light is normal, but the Epic Eye software cannot start.

Possible Causes

  • The camera IP address is being used by another device.

  • The camera IP address has changed.

Solution

Use the Ping xxx command in the terminal to check if the camera is online.

xxx refers to the camera’s IP address and port number, e.g., 192.168.10.1:5000.
  • If the camera cannot be pinged, its IP address may have changed. In this case, the new camera IP address needs to be found using the router’s configuration tool or the camera IP management tool.

  • If the camera can be pinged but the Epic Eye software still cannot start, the IP address may be in use by another device on the local network. In this case, check the router’s configuration interface for duplicate IP addresses and differentiate the camera’s IP address from others.
